Twist and Shout
High Fire Stoneware, St. John's Black Matt Glaze 8x4x4Personality is both stable and dynamic, all at the same time. Clay on the other hand is very dynamic (as it's formed) and then very stable (after it's fired). It can only be in one phase at one time. I have tried to capture to plasticity of clay as it is formed on the wheel in this finished piece. Sometimes potters dance with the clay. This pot is ready to twist and shout.
