






Job Responsibilities
General Education Administrator:
-responsible for educational programs for all students
-provides emotional support for staff
-is a member of the collaborative problem-solving team
-finds resources for the staff to meet the needs of all children
Teacher:
-responsible for teaching all students
-finds support for students experiencing difficulty in learning
-plans and teaches with other staff members and community to meet the needs of all learners
-trains students to be tutors and social supports for each other
Special Educator:
-also trains students to be peer tutors and supports
-team teaches with regular teachers in the classroom
-collaborates with general educators and other support personnel to meet needs of the children
Psychologists:
-help the teachers define problems
-designs interventions
-team teaches
-provides social skills training to students
-conducts assessments
-trains students to be peer tutors, mediators, and supports for each other
-offers counseling to students
Support Staff (social worker, speech and language pathologist, physical therapist):
-also responsible for meeting the needs of the students
-trains teachers, assistants, and volunteers to carry out their jobs
-assesses and provides services to the students
Paraeducator (teaching assistant):
-provides services to students in the classroom
-facilitates peer supports in the classroom
Student:
-work cooperatively with other students
-involved in instruction, advocacy, and decision making for themselves and other
