Introduction to Psychology

 

 

To Begin:

Registration

  1. Go to www.OMPG.com.
  2. Click on “Register now” in the Student Section.
  3. Fill in the requested information including your school and click “Submit”. (NOTE: Be sure to write down your User Name and Password and put it in a location where you won’t lose it.)
  4. Read over the Terms of Use Agreement that appears when you submit your information and click “Accept” if you agree to the terms. Only when you have agreed to the terms of use can you continue, so please read them carefully.
  5. You are now registered on the OpenMind system. You will automatically be taken to your personal homepage, where you can either continue by purchasing a text or return later.

Purchasing a CourseBook

  1. Go to www.OMPG.com and log in to enter your home page. (If you just registered to the site you will already be here.)
  2. In the Search For Books Section on the right-hand side of the page you can enter either your CourseBook ID or search for your text using our search engine. Professor Webster’s  CourseBook ID is 378.  Enter it in the space provided and click “Search”. The CourseBook that appears should be yours. If it is, click on “Add to Shopping Cart” to continue. If it is not, contact your professor to verify the CourseBook ID. You may also search for it using Instructor CourseBook option for the category and/or your teacher’s name in the Keyword Search. This will give you a list to choose from and your class’s CourseBook should be there. When you have located it, click on “Add to Shopping Cart”.
  3. Select the version or versions of the text you would like to purchase, that is, online, on CD-Rom, or in print.
  4. If you would like to view other OpenMind offerings, click on “Continue Shopping”.
  5. When you have selected the CourseBook(s) for your class(es) click on “Proceed to Checkout”. (NOTE: If your professor in another class does not require a textbook or does not recommend any particular one, you may wish to consider using a value-priced OpenMind text for that class as well.)
  6. Enter your credit card number and billing information as well as your shipping information that will be used if you have ordered a printed version of the text. Then click “Continue”.
  7. Verify that all your information is correct and click “Purchase”. If there is a mistake, click “Update” and repeat step 6.
  8. When you have purchased the CourseBook it will appear in your Book Bag on your home page. Welcome to OpenMind!

Using Your OpenMind Publishing Group CourseBook

  1. Go to www.OMPG.com.
  2. Log in.
  3. Select the text you wish to read from your Book Bag and click on it.
