Double Handled Goblets
My friend asked me to make a double handled goblet for her wedding that
was reminiscent of those used in renaissance French weddings. This
was difficult since the double handled cups used then were made of silver,
or other metal, not highfire stoneware. In addition, any handles
seemed superflous on a goblet. But I attempted the exercise and the
results are shown above. You may click on each image to see a larger
view of that goblet. The larger images are almost lifesize and may take
a while to load. The penny shows the scale of the goblets.
Its real purpose was to hold the goblet steady on the scanner.
